Welcome to the Lymphoma Life section for people with indolent non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). As you’ll probably know, indolent NHL is a slow-growing form of the disease that is likely to be with you for a long time. But, remember, you’ll probably spend most of this time with few, or even no, symptoms. And, with the right treatment and support, you could be able to live an almost normal life for several years.

8 THINGS TO KNOW about indolent non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma

It is sometimes called low-grade NHL

There are many types of indolent NHL, the most common is follicular NHL

Indolent NHL grows slowly

There are often no symptoms at diagnosis

Treatment might not be needed straight away

Treatment, when needed, will delay the progression of indolent NHL, and make symptoms disappear

Most patients live for many years and may have a normal life expectancy

However, indolent NHL is often incurable, and will probably relapse even after a successful treatment and many years in remission
